1366 – New type of V5 embosser

September 2022 Index has launched a new type of the V5 embossers called 1366. The previous V5 embossers are called type 1365 and the main difference between the two types is the main board. The reason for developing this new type of board was because we needed to replace the WiFi/Bluetooth module.

Market leading since 1992

The sheet-feeder used in Everst-D is owned by Index Braille. This is why it is fine-tuned for best function oneavy braille paper. The Everest supports a paper width of up to 297 mm and user defined paper sizes.

Improvements in Everest-D V5

The Everest-D V5 has been updated to include all the latests Braille techniques and compatibility with mainstream technology.

The Everest sheet-feeder

Braille on cut-sheet paper is the future. The sheet-feeder of Everest-D is optimized to support heavy braille paper.

Light to sharpen the design

Light is an important design component in all V5 embossers and a hallmark for its technology level. It both guides the user interface and decorates the embosser.

Optimized maintaining

All mechanical systems need maintaining. With Index embossers it is minimized to:

  • Cleaning the paper sensors from paper dust
  • Rubbing up the pick up rollers in Everest-D and BrailleBox
  • Cleaning paper dust from the solenoids
  • Upgrading the embosser firmware
